Government Affairs Committee

The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.

This month:
Joining us virtually via Zoom will be Cecilia Catlin, IRS Senior Stakeholder Liaison for the US Department of Treasury. Cecilia will be discussing Tax Law Updates for 2021, Covid-19 Updates in relation to taxes and funds received during the pandemic, along with a brief update on the Paycheck Protection Program.

With degress from USD and SDSU, Cecilia's professional experience spans 35 plus years and includes Kaiser Permanente, University of San Diego, U.S. Navy Fleet Accounting, County of San Diego District Attorney's Office, City of San Diego Attorney's Office, and City of San Diego Office of Financial Management.
