Government Affairs Committee

The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.

This month: We continue with our look into Redistricting here in California, and will be discussing the local Escondido council districts and how Redistricting might affect our community and region in the future. 

Joining us will be Escondido City Councilman Joe Garcia, who represents District 3 in the city. He will be joined by Roarke Shanley, Vice President & COO of Ares Strategic Consulting, who specialize in professional political consulting. Together they will give us some insight to what Redistricting the Escondido City Council districts might look like in the near future, and how that could impact Escondido's future.
